This restored luxury farmhouse sits by Besalu, in the foothills of the Catalan Pyrenees. This medieval town is known for its Roman bridge and some Gothic architecture pieces. The house is perfect for those looking for a quiet countryside vacation. It dates back to XIII century but after a 4 year restoration, it benefits from all the modern facilities one might need for a carefree holiday. The masia was awarded a LEED Platinum certification, achieving the very highest sustainability rating, the first for a masia in Spain. The villa enjoys 3 floors and sits in 4 acres land plot comprising of fields, woodlands and chill-out areas. The plot is bordered by a river.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
The villa sleeps 14. There are 7 bedrooms, all come with private bathrooms. The upper floor has two master bedrooms. They benefits from mountain views, ceiling fans and bathrooms with bathtubs and showers. The east-facing bedroom has a private terrace with charming mountain views.
Further on, the second floor houses 4 more bedrooms. One of them enjoys a queen-size bed and a private terrace with a hammock. The second room of this floor features a king-size bed, a bathtub and a shower and boasts a private 60 m2 terrace. The third room comes with a queen-size bed and enjoys mountain views from its balcony. The fourth bedroom is a large family room with a kitchenette. It is perfect for a couple with a small child or for staff members.
Finally, The lower floor has the 7th bedroom which benefits form a queen-size bed and a bathroom with a tub and a shower. It enjoys a private walled terrace. All the rooms have WIFI, radiant floor heating/cooling.
Living areas
The common areas include a living - dining room with a fireplace and a totally equipped kitchen. The latter one features a breakfast area with high chairs, a fridge freezer, a hob, an oven, a toaster, kitchenware and tableware. The house features a washing machine and a dryer.
Outdoors
Outside, the house features a saltwater swimming pool, a BBQ area, hammocks, trampoline and fruit trees and a vegetable garden.

This recently renovated house sits in the area of Besalu. This town is known for its majestic Roman bridge and a church of Sant Pere and some other Gothic monuments. The trip to the town will take you about 5 minutes by car. You will find there several grocery shops, first-need amenities shops, cafes and restaurants.
Further on, Banyoles Lakes are around 21 minutes drive away. With its stunning surrounding, the place is perfect for strolling, fishing, some water sports and a lunch on the shore.
A bigger city, Figueres, lodging Salvador Dali Museum is about 28 minutes drive away. Girona and its airport are about 41 minutes´ drive away. If you are planing to go to Barcelona at some moment, it lies around 1 h 35 minutes drive away. Another great option is to visit some charming French villages reachable in about 1 h 15 minutes by car.
